Welcome to our Oue Werf country house and manor, offering luxury Little Karoo accomodation in the scenic Schoemanshoek Valley, 12 kilometres outside Oudtshoorn. A peaceful homestead dating back to 1857, our owner-managed and child-friendly four star country house is situated on a working farm and surrounded by big willow trees, an apricot orchard and a dam. Come and experience the hospitality of the Klein Karoo in style. A peaceful night’s rest is guaranteed. 

Our Karoo Accommodation 

Whether you are looking for bed and breakfast or self-catering, you have found the perfect destination for a relaxed holiday in the Karoo, promising not only beautiful scenery but also serenity. Here nature is on full display, with spectacular mountain views, indigenous bird species and the sweet fragrance of roses in bloom. 

The days pass slower here. In summer lounge next to our swimming pool with a refreshing drink in your hand. Enjoy a picnic under the willows or even take a swim in the farm dam. In winter enjoy a traditional home cooked meal and then cuddle up in front of the fire place with a good book and glass of fortified wine. 

Children will love our play park and all the open space to run around and explore. 

Whether it is a standard room or a family unit, our 12 bedroom options in the country house and manor lead straight into the garden, ensuring privacy and a oneness with nature.

The free-standing self-catering cottage has a lovely, sunny anex and kitchenette. Two single beds can be added to accommodate two young children.

If you want to tie the knot, our idyllic wedding venue is decorated by mountain ranges and willow trees, and both our honeymoon suites set the tone for your first memorable moments as a couple. 

We are neighbours to a winery and brewery, and a game lodge is just a stone's throw away. Other attractions are also in close proximity, including the Cango Caves.
